History:

Providence Preschool is a ministry of Providence Presbyterian Church located in Gum Spring, Virginia.  We are a Christian preschool and strive to meet the needs of our growing, rural community since its establishment in the fall of 1989.  We primarily serve the counties of Louisa and Goochland, but have had students attend from the surrounding counties of Hanover, Orange and Fluvanna.

Mission Statement:
Providence Preschool seeks to provide an outstanding educational Christian Education environment for young children.  Guided by our faith and commitment to God and his commandment to love one another, we embrace the opportunity to nurture each child and support their family.  We work to equip children to successfully enter a primary educational program.

Eligibility:
A child must be at least three years old to be enrolled.  All students must be fully potty trained. 

Staff qualification:
Staff members see their faith in God as a priority in their life and feel called to participate in our program as a ministry.  Please see our “Meet the Teachers” page for more information about our staff.

Registration:
Registration for current students and their siblings, previous Preschool families and church members begins in early January.  Registration opens to the public on February 1st.  There is a $40 non-refundable registration fee.
