Jesus Loves Me – Christian Education
Bible Stories and songs are part of our every day routine! We love sharing God’s Word with our preschoolers and teaching them the “Golden Rule” as they learn to interact with each other.
The ABC’s – Literacy Instruction
Reading readiness is a priority at Providence Preschool. We use each day as an opportunity to share Nursery Rhymes and Finger plays, read quality Children’s literature and provide opportunities for your child to expand their vocabularies with hands on experiences. The alphabet and phonics are introduced in a multisensory way with fun activities for our children. Examples include making letters with play dough, writing them in sand or shaving cream, etc.
The 123’s – Math Instruction
Young children are naturally curious and are excited about learning. We provide opportunities to encourage children’s thinking and allow them to express ideas and practice new skills. Instruction includes the concepts of colors and shapes, number sense and counting, patterns, and sorting.
Dramatic Play Center
The dramatic play center surrounds a child with literacy including labels, menus, order forms and signs. Social skills including sharing, problem solving, conflict-resolution and cooperative play are practiced every day.
Light Table
Children love playing with the light table! It is a sensory experience, featuring SIGHT that helps build problem-solving, math and language concepts, fine motor and hand-eye coordination, cooperation and imagination!

Let’s Explore – Science Instruction
We love the amazement in a child’s face as they explore the beauty and wonder of the world God has created for us. From nature walks to simple experiments, children are encouraged to make observations, develop questions and interact with the world around them.
Let’s Play - Center time
Allowing preschoolers to make choices throughout their day is crucial to their development. This is a child centered approach to learning that we embrace. During center time, children will be allowed the opportunity to choose between several structured centers including a skill center (focusing on themes, fine motor development, etc.), an art center or a dramatic play center. By allowing preschoolers to make choices in their day, we are fostering their independence, allowing them to problem solve, teaching them to share and respect their peers and giving them responsibility for their own learning.
